Terrain Detail is Low (25) and View Distance 900m in MP, regardless of your personal settings. They can be changed in MP by clients side scripting commands setTerrainGrid or setViewDistance. That means the values can be different for different clients and the server.
Different view distance allows one side to see, shoot and lock targets on sooner, and lock missiles further.
Different terrain detail results in players and AI shooting through the ground, walking/driving in the air and sinking to the ground from different perspectives.
