There are two sides to this addon: user and mission maker
For the mission maker, it's definitely interesting if you want realistic symbology on your map. Especially since the built-in Arma symbols are partially wrong, and lack a lot of variety, plus it's impossible to combine them with size markers that don't move when the map is zoomed in.
The mod also allows users to place such markers. Honestly, though, for the user, this isn't really necessary, since they rarely have any use for this.
Now, from my personal experience, I have to say that I rarely use symbols at all on the map. I might if we use that mod, but in essence, I could do without.
As such, I say neither yes or no, I'll go with the majority. The mod isn't big, and it's on the workshop, so easy to get, really.
