RE: DCS: World - Misha - 12-16-2016

I just realized that my last chance to fly on Saturday in this year is this Saturday. So, anyone up (in the air)?

RE: DCS: World - Etzu - 12-16-2016

Count me in!

RE: DCS: World - Manuel - 12-17-2016

Can't miss your last DCS appearance of the year Misha, I'll be there Smile

RE: DCS: World - doveman - 12-22-2016

For anyone who's been thinking of getting it, Tacview is 40% off until 4 Jan. If a few of you want to get it, it's worth arranging for one person to purchase the licences to get an additional volume discount (I already bought it a while back I'm afraid).

If you buy anything you can use the key on non-Steam version as well?

I've bought several of the modules on Steam, but I use the non-steam version.

The rule is, if you bought it on Steam, you can use it in the non-Steam version. However, if you bought it on Eagle Dynamic's web shop, you can not use it in the Steam version. At least that is my experience

RE: DCS: World - Etzu - 12-23-2016

Gazelle will be mine.. Oh yes, it will be mine.

UPDATE: It is mine.

RE: DCS: World - Sithis - 12-23-2016

Hello Pilotpeople,

I finally arrived back home and only got to be back at work at the end of January. So lots of time to fly, work on missions and give some flying lessons should the need arise.
The rest of this year will probably be quite busy for me, but from what I gathered you guys wont be flying this year anyway right?
What modules are popular with you guys at the moment?
Looking forward to take it to the air again. Sadly I couldnt snap any pics of the fixed wing aircraft that I was playing with, but I could snap a couple of shots of our helicopters.

Welcome back Sithis!

We are still going, have coops almost every week, though lately there's just three of us (and only one of them is not biased towards French planes Smile ), still strong in spirit, and our skills getting better all the time. I won't be able till the end of the year, but I also have some free days after 3rd of January so we can have DCS coop any day!

RE: DCS: World - Manuel - 12-25-2016

@Etzu
Brilliant! Do you have time to try flying pilot/copilot? Or let me know if you need some help. It's a relatively simple aircraft, so we should have you mission-ready pretty quickly Smile

@Sithis
Great to hear from you again! You were missed in our little pilot-club.
I wont be in the office next week, so chances are I will have some time to fly. Let me know if there's an opportunity for you to fly.
As far as modules go, since Etzu got himself the Mirage, that one has seen a lot of action. I suppose with his newly acquired Gazelle, helo-missions will get a bit of a revival too. So I guess basically all our common modules (A10C, UH1, ...) plus Mirage and Gazelle are fair game if you plan any new missions. Also, I couldn't resist to get myself the Spitfire as soon as it was available, I guess I don't have to tell you what that means...Tongue

@Misha
What do you mean, 'bias'? Sacre bleu! Je suis interloqué!

RE: DCS: World - Sithis - 12-25-2016

Sweet, you guys wanna fly the Mirage in A-A or A-G role or both?

I've done a few cold startups, and gotten into the air but she's a tricky beast.

The Mirage is more tailored for A-A, with limited A-G. I'd suggest an escort of an A-10 if you want to do some A-G with the M2000.

Also -- welcome back!

RE: DCS: World - Manuel - 12-25-2016

@Etzu
Yeah, the Gazelle is not built to stand still... and it's really a bit twitchy, compared to the Huey. I guess all you can do about that is training. If you need some help with weapon systems, or something let me know, altough it's all pretty straight forward.

And I agree with Etzu, the Mirage is not that well equiped for AG (well, the latest modell would be, that thing can carry TPs and even Mavericks (I think))
So AA and Escort missions would be best. Although there's still buddy-lasing for ground attacks with laser guided bombs, I would like to try and figure that out sometime.
