Thanks Misha but you seem to have posted the same link three times  Wink

If anyone wants to try a terrain mod, here's a link to a thread with several different ones suited for low-flying helos and fighter jocks http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115359

I'm using SweetFX with it as well, which makes it look a lot nicer. I've packaged SweetFX as a JSGME mod, which is attached, so you can use that if you want and then tweak the settings as you prefer. There's a couple of different settings files in there which you can try out.

Now it says access denied to all three  Tongue

I watched the one you posted before though. It's great fun watching from the missile's point of view as it flies towards us but then we dodge it, or watching from an enemy ground unit, seeing us diving around dodging their missiles and bullets  Big Grin

Here's that mod I mentioned that links Falcon BMS to ArmA3. I don't know if it's usable yet though:

Re: DCS: World - Misha - 09-26-2014

Mediafire changed something for the worse, it used to be very easy to share files with it. Here's another try - but after you click on the link, if nothing except menu appears, click download button if you have it, that's how it works for me, if it still does not work for you I'll find another way to send it:

Re: DCS: World - doveman - 09-26-2014

Thanks, it works now if I click on Download.

For anyone with a secondary monitor, Capt. Zeen has released a Helios profile for the SU-25T now:
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=131100

I highly recommend his KA-50 profile as well.

Re: DCS: World - Misha - 10-01-2014

Grab your pilot sunglasses, we'll be taking off again at 2000 CET in another Comrades in arms DCS coop!

Re: DCS: World - kutya - 10-01-2014

I won't fly tonight. I'm having a "sim-burnout". I'm getting tired of "thinking", so I'm off, with Euro Truck Simulator 2, FSX bush flying and Construction Simulator for some no-brains chill out for a while. If there would be a Grass Growth Watcher Simulator 2014, I'd gladly play it now.

Re: DCS: World - doveman - 10-01-2014

Damn, I can't make it tonight either as I'm feeling quite ill. Sorry Misha.

Re: DCS: World - Misha - 10-01-2014

With all pilots either on leave or unfit for duty CiA fleet is grounded.
Actually I slept only five hours last night, if not less, and I would prefer to get some rest, hard to operate an airplane  when I'm feeling so drowsy!

Re: DCS: World - doveman - 10-06-2014

Sadly I'm going to have to hang up my pilot wings for now. My Sciatica/Back problems severely limit how long I can sit at my PC at the moment and with my poor layout (forced on me by my current desk), using the joystick just makes it worse, so I can't spend the time needed to practice and learn the aircraft and I want to save my strength for our Thursday ArmA sessions.

I'm planning to build myself a sort of mini cockpit that will hold my equipment in a more ergonomic position and allow me to fly from the comfort of my sofa, as I really like flying and it's frustrating as hell not to be able to. I can't say how long that's going to take at the moment though, as I'll have to design it all and buy the materials, etc and I always seem to have a never-ending list of things to do as it is.

I think I prefer the F-15C to the SU-25T, as with the latter I can never find the targets on the Shvkal, even with labels on showing me where they are, before I'm too close and have to turn away to avoid them shooting me down. I have similar difficulty with the KA-50 but as least with that I can hover and take my time. With the F-15C though, you've got the radar which shows you targets and it's a lot easier to spot them in the sky than picking out ground targets on the Shvkal anyway. Hopefully EDGE/DCS 2 will improve things as far as ground spotting is concerned, with better contrast or something (everyone seems to be obsessed with more pixels but I just have to watch real-life material on my 720P TV to know that it's not lack of pixels that makes computer graphics look unrealistic), so I'll probably try again when that's released.

Anyway, in the meantime I'll print out some manuals to study and hopefully some of it will have sunk in by the time I get back to actually flying Wink

Been a pleasure flying with you comrades, may we meet in the skies again sometime Smile

Re: DCS: World - Misha - 10-07-2014

Wish you to get in shape soon Doveman! I had back pain episodes too, they can be, well, pain in the neck.

I'm glad for those few coops we had and I think we were moving slowly to the right direction and getting better at blowing stuff up. Smile

Promise to make a video ASAP when I take over control of my free time!

I am ready host anytime when there are people interested to fly, just let me know.

Re: DCS: World - Varanon - 10-07-2014

I hope you get better soon. Having something like that, something that limits what you can do is a serious pain in the ass.

I guess we all had our share of back problems when we got older, but luckily, mine never got so severe that the limited my activities.

All the best, dove man!
