DCS: Flaming Cliffs on Steam for 12 Euro.
I have heard mixed things about Flaming Cliffs... can anyone of the DCS guys comment ?

Note that I'm only a DCS rookie. Flaming Cliffs contains a couple aircraft that aren't modeled to the detail like the separate packages. If you don't plan to dig deep into DCS or prefer a more simple approach for start, Flaming Cliffs is a good pack, especially considering the price. Study aircraft are usually 50$.
FC is a "lite" variant, mostly because the cockpits aren't clickable and the tech in those planes is simplified.
I just stare dumbly when I have to say something smart.

I think Flaming Cliffs is worth getting. You get several aircraft that normally sell for about $15 each. They're still very much sim-aircraft in the flight models, not arcadey but the modelling's not as advanced as the more expensive modules. The avionics/systems are simplified though, so instead of flicking 20 switches and taking 5 mins to start, it's more like 2 keypresses. As kutya says, the cockpits aren't clickable anyway but if you have a secondary monitor you could use something like Helios or touch buddy to create a screen full of buttons that send key commands to DCS.

Thanks for the answers! Sounds good, I don'T really want to dig too deep into this, so it sounds like a good deal to me.

Origin users can now get "Dragon Age: Origins" for free. If you are into the old-style roleplaying games like Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate and similar, Dragon Age is an awesome game especially at this price.
You need an Origin account for it though.
I don't need luck, I have ammo.

Another one: Wargame series is on sale on Steam. For 20 Euros you get all three parts. Now, I am personally not a big fan of strategy games, but Wargame is an exception. Great game.

Thanks Alwarren, I can't recall if I played that already but I grabbed it anyway The only things I have on Origin are three free games (BF3, Wing Commander and now this). They must be hoping I'll give them some money and buy something one day ;D
