OFP revisited
I agree to sentiments above. Great job Evans. Mission was simple enough with some technical quirks but there's nothing wrong with short quick snacks. Mission moment: I don't usually care for kills, but I was a vehicle gunner in first Hunter. I saw contacts at point blank range to our left and hell broke loose. I cut them down and when I started to scan additional threats my scope was full of thermals in 120 degree sector. Inf, AT-gunners, static MG-nests, etc. I got the oh shit panic mode on and continuously fired until the HMG was smoking and empty. I must have racked ~2-3 squads of infantry including two MG nests and half a fuel truck. What is surprising is that I managed to survive it.
Green Monster
It was fun to be in a vehicle again. Co-op with Variable (commander) and Alwarren ( gunner) was smooth and it was awesome to engage targets at landing beach. Then inevitable happened and despite our best caution we got blown to orbit. Crew survived and joined as infantry.
It sure wasn't boring but with small adjustments the mission would have been better. Now we had to cover ..almost 4 kms of distance on foot and we had no proper tools to deal with the MBT threats.
McGregor/Monster-2 did great job under tough combat conditions and I suppose our Charge of the Light Squad to airfield was a suitable ending (we werent't mowed down by Russian battery like in Balaclava, just a regular dull .50cal but it was a only proper way to end mission like this).
