Spinoza, thanks for inviting us and we appreciate your efforts to plan, organize and host this event.
Yeah, we had some bad luck and mission was tough, but still worth a try.
In short, here's what we did during the mission:
1. We defended eastern part of the airfiled. Attack on our flank never came so we went engaging those enemies attacking western part. Our plane crashed, pilot killed. And we had maybe one more casualty, not sure.
2. Then we went south with Folk, basically trying to be of help but so no action at all. It doesn't matter too much, we did some scouting around, for all we knew back then we could have encountered entire enemy army, we did our job.
3. Getting slaughtered by lonely Igla launcher which hit our BMP. Ouch! Minutes later, that same Igla wiped out most of the Folk's squads. We could have destroyed it earlier when we were passing in the vicinity of the base where it was located, but I totally understand why we didn't do it. We already had much distance to cover to our next objective and so wasting time on all mission non-essential objectives was out of the question. Turns out we were wrong.
I must suggest that next time CiA and Folk should have joint command right from the beginning. We had only one squad which did supporting role to Folk and was not acting on its own. I think same thing would happen every time when we work together because Folk is a larger group. CiA have only enough manpower to fill just one squad. Only if a mission gives a task which should be done by just one squad, only then we have a reason to be autonomous. As my English is not perfect I hope that this is clear enough and doesn't require further clarification.
