Recommend me to upgrade my PC - FlashPoint - 12-26-2019 Hello comrades, well I have decided to upgrade my rig which currently is this: Core i5 2400 8GB RAM DDR3 R9 290X 4GB sapphire 530W PSU 128GB SSD 1TB HDD What I’m aimed to upgrade is only about MB, CPU & RAM & I want them to be these: RYZEN 5 2600X ASUS B450 MB 16GB Geil RAM DDR4 I’m interested to hear from you, will this be a good upgrade making significant change on gaming? RE: Recommend me to upgrade my PC - McGregor - 12-26-2019 I think that's a decent upgrade. I had an i5 2500k and I used to get a lot of stuttering. That all went away when I upgraded to a newer model CPU (7700k), even with the same old graphics card. Having said that I think you should focus the next upgrade after this one on getting a new GPU, preferably something with 8Gb GDDR5. 4Gb is a bit low for newer games. But I think you will see some improvement in games like Arma with this upgrade alone.
