Finally The Academia gets what we are doing in coop nights! - Variable - 04-26-2018

Seems like The Academia starts to pull its head out of its ass with regards to video games, I see more and more evidence for recognizing the true aspects of gaming, especially cooperative, and I think this study really hits the nail on its head. I like this conclusion especially, and I think it describes why we are playing coop:

Quote:The most “real,” engaging form of gaming might be “group-based, goal-oriented work on culturally defined projects,” according to one anthropologist.

I actually had some classes back in school where professors were pro video games. They also use to play a lot of World of Warcraft back in the days and were very fond of guilds and actually did studies on them.
