Low FPS fixed by autodetect - Variable - 05-24-2014

Weird shit. This thing started today and nothing that I'm aware of was changed in my system. The game starts with very low FPS, around 10. However when I click autodetect it sets all on Ultra, and the FPS jumps to 40-50.
What the hell?

I'll give it a try-the few mp games i have managed to get in with you guys lately-im really struggling!
Although i doubt it'll make any difference as my shite pc.

If you wan't a easy way out, you could always try something like Nvidia Geforce Experience, or even Nvidia control panel, both of which let you choose video settings from the program and force them to the game. If you can't find a way to fix this, maybe try forcing the ultra settings from there.

For me sometimes I will get low FPS on load, but if I alt-tab out and then go back in, the framerate clears up.  Doesn't really help much in actual gameplay, but even on the intro screen it will be stuck at low FPS for some reason.  Doesn't always happen, either.

Alwarren's idea worked. When switching to another profile the problem was gone, and even better, when I switched back to my regular profile, the problem was gone, too!

LOL, nice. That's a weird error with a weird solution, but if it works, all the better.
