Track IR button mapping - McGregor - 05-16-2014

I just wanted to know what you guys who use Track IR have your "centering" "pause" mapped to? I currently have mine mapped to the num pad but that kind of interferes with the camera controls when I die. I do that a lot so it's an essential function for me. Anyone got any good layout tips?

Not using TrackIR but one I built myself running freetrack, but my center key is ALT+HOME and pause is ALT+END

I use the Pause/Break key.  Seems to work well and not interfere with ArmA 2/3.

Thanks guys. It never occurred to me that I could also use a double command like ALT+HOME etc. I guess I'll play around with the settings some more

@Varanon
Have you noticed any loss in gaming performance using freetrack?

No, the CPU load is very low, and since Arma doesn't really use all cores in a multicore CPU, it's not really a big deal

To re-center I use the key between "bloc num" and "*". It often requires a double tap but it is not a problem.

I don't use the pause button, but if iirc the default key is something near f7 and i never went through testing/usage of the feature to tweak the key.

Previously i used tab or other keys on left side of keyboard but Arma takes nearly all keys of keyboard and soon or later it always ended up conflicting with other ingame actions, hence now i use numpad zone.

I was considering a mouse with more buttons since my right hand is being used far less compared to left hand (has 3 fingers that could be used for something else instead of just moving mouse.)

I developed the habit to re-center everytime i move, switch legs position or anything else while playing.

I was looking for some suggestions for Track Ir 5 and I found this topic. I read it... I hope it won't be too complicated to set it. I see many have this problem of conflicts and actually having really good position (easy to remember)
Yes Black rose... Gamers game pad "was what you were" looking for ...

I use Pause. However I use it rarely, mostly only at the start of the mission.
