Re: Coop night 8.5.2011 - Pulverizer - 05-08-2011

Damn rambo AI shot me with an RPG straight in the face... I could see and hear the shot coming (about 100m away) but there was nothing to do. Hilarious ;D

I wish we had kept moving though. Feels silly just sitting still waiting for orders when there's a war going on just behind the next little hill.

Yeah, everything was really messy. Much due to my double comms, but also I would've expected more commands from our group leader (as we were the 2nd fireteam)  :-\

But thanks for everyone participating.

Yepp, that's war Smile
Maybe it was too big mission for one leader, dunno if it was given separate tasks before start or not?

Response from kers Kuokkanen:

Hi CiA folks,

I'm sorry that my leading did not live up to your expectations. In retrospective I see that my mistake was to let our group to be split up after the river crossing. It made the leading difficult because I was not aware of your position and situation. I should have demanded these pieces of information from you more clearly. During the river crossing I encountered multiple disconnections from the server. After reconnecting I was pretty much lost from you. Unfortunately instead of trying to get in touch with your team, I concentrated on leading my own fireteam forward. Soon after this I met my untimely demise.

There's always some amount of waiting involved when playing with larger amounts of players. Our advance was hampered with almost constant air alerts, which also led to a lot of waiting.

Even though my leading left something to be hoped for, your performance was good, and I was happy to have you with us - leading the way!

There are some (also mine, in Finnish though) after action reports on LDDK forum. See link below. Perhaps we can see your view on things there as well.

Spinoza, thanks for posting Kuokkanen's message. Please thank him for leading! I really hope to play more with you guys. Although several difficulties were encountered I think we all agree that such nice combined activity holds a lot of potential.
