Phase - Move to FUP Platoon will move mounted to the FUP along the dirt road. Platoon dismount at the FUP and form defensive perimeter with: ASLT2 covering NORTH-EAST to EAST directions FST  covering NORTH-WEST to NORTH-EAST directions ASTL1 covering NORTH-WEST to WEST directions PLT HQ covering SOUTH directions If the situation permits: Platoon Commander and teamleaders of ASTL1, ASLT2 and FST will do a quick leader reconnaissance from hill 127 north-west of the FUP (grunts stay at the FUP and cover assigned sectors above). 2. Phase - Move to the RP Platoon moves in column formation along thick blue route to the RP (Rally Point). March order as follows: ASLT2 as the vanguard traveling about 100 meters in front of the rest of the platoon PLT HQ and FST as the main body ASLT1 as rearguard At the RP: FST go into support position facing east towards the objective to support ASLT1's and ASLT2's attack. 3. Phase - Attack ASLT1 and ASLT2 attack the objective along marked routes. PLT HQ will stay at the RP to provide security for FST and react to medic requests from the rest of the platoon. 4. Phase - Consolidation and Defense After the assault teams cleared the objective FST and PLT HQ will move up to the objective, consolidate and prepare for counterattack(s): (see dotted lines at the map) FST cover NORTH-WEST to NORTH-EAST directions of the objective ASLT1 cover WEST to NORTH directions of the objective ASLT2 cover NORTH to NORTH-EAST directions of the objective COMMUNICATIONS PHQ use DELTA channel in Teamspeak - Callsign is COMMAND ASLT1 use ALPHA channel in Teamspeak - Callsign is ALPHA ASLT2 use BRAVO channel in Teamspeak - Callsign is BRAVO FST use CHARLIE channel in Teamspeak - Callsign is CHARLIE ACTIONS ON THE RALLY POINT / FUP / WHEN HALTED FOR LONGER PERIODS Fireteams are to displace on their own initiative after having had enemy contact to prevent being hit by enemy mortars. Assigned fire sectors from the Platoon Commander have to be obtained. Example: Fire Support Team has deployed in their defensive position facing est to support the main attack. In the course of the attack they engage and destroy enemy infantry. The teamleader independently orders the team to displace 50 to 100 meters to the north or south into a position that can still support the main attack to the east. The teamleader informs the Platoon Commander about the displacement. Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - Zwobot - 02-14-2010 Yay! This will be fun. I'll take the Platoon Commander slot. I hope enough players will show up; we had a slight decline in players for a few weeks now... Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - RKDmitriyev - 02-14-2010 Darn, I was hoping there would be mortar slots. I've discovered that I <3 WGL mortars and CoC artillery. Anyway, for now let's say I'm Platoon HQ Messanger (M16, M72 LAW) but I'm willing to take a team leader slot if the situation requires. We've had a major decline in players since you've been AFK Marto. I don't believe I've seen more than 12 of us at a time since early January. You must be a crowd pleaser or sth. ;D EDIT: Quote:Choose your slots and discuss any plan you believe will work below. Not sure how we can come up with a detailed plan, as there don't seem to be any interesting terrain features such as breasts. Quote:Do not cross the enemy lines past the 073 northing (shaded red to the north) as you will be within range of naval gun fire Communist guerillas with naval gunfire? These enemies must be so showered with fancy stuff from the Soviet Union that they constitute the guerilla warfare equivalent of New England private school snobs. So let's just pretend the Communist gorrillas have Soviet support. Like the ARVN with US support.... If you really want, and if it's a showstopper for you guys, (just like the bicycle bells not working in MP are for Zwobot) then I can edit the briefing to say you will be in range of NOD Tesla coils. Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - gum - 02-15-2010 alpha pink squad leader could do for me...... wb marto, i did not know that australia was "officially" in war against aboriginals.......that could the only reason that kept u away from gaming for so long..... i have heard that aboriginals are invincible (when not drunk), coz they use theyr didgeridoos to hipnotyze brave soldiers like u, making em become great still targets for theyr boomerangs...... smart.......ancient war tactics....... Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - Zwobot - 02-15-2010 Tentative plan is done, it assumes platoon will have at least 13 players at it's disposal who will be slotted as follows: Platoon Headquarters 1 Platoon Commander 1 Platoon Medic Assault Team 1 completely slotted Assault Team 2 completely slotted Fire Support Team 3 Players with at least 2 Machinegun slots # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Questions for Company Commander: Transportation What kind of, and how many TCVs does the platoon get for the transit to the FUP? Are they armed? Do they contain additional ammunition or weapons? What march order will the platoon start in (if we will get more than 1 TCV) and how is the seating arrangement? Attachments Will the SF team remain at the FUP or will it be attached to the platoon for the attack? Are they AI? How can they be controlled? Intel Did the SF team conduct recon patrols in the area whichs results they can share? Did they observe any enemy activity south and/or east of the FUP? Is other intel available on exact enemy defensive positions and/or obstacles at the objective? Civilians Is the village at the FUP inabited? What are the ROE regarding civilians? Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - RKDmitriyev - 02-15-2010 :o guess we're going to have to rename the mission "UnioN Attack." No, it's all good. More players = more fun. Quote:Tentative plan is done, it assumes platoon will have 13 players at it's disposal who will be slotted as follows: Make me Platoon Medic instead, then. Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - Zwobot - 02-15-2010 Better provide some reserve slots in case more random players join (increase enemy forces too then - maybe branch the mission into seperate versions: 1 default layout as it is and 1 with more slots and enemies...). I will post the first draft of the plan tomorrow. Apperantly I am in a writing mood but don't get deterred - you won't have to memorise the whole plan. It probably will go down the toilet five minutes into the mission anyway Re: Briefing/Roster for next Sunday 21 Feb 10 - Marto - 02-15-2010 (02-15-2010, 09:05 PM)Zwobot link Wrote:Transportation2x Trucks 5t open both armed with 50cal (AI). Area around the objective is rural and uninhabited. Apart from the two civilians the recon team observed, there should be no others in the TAOR (tactical area of operations).
