Re: Tuesday's ArmA2 - Overlord - 01-20-2010

I had a fun evening, really good coop. Lot of action when we engaged and hard but balanced missions. The only thing I miss in some of them is the ability to heal others/ dedicated medic slots. Too many players was crawling around on their belly and that ain't funny (might be enough with some medic boxes too). I think it take a while to learn it 100% but in my eyes, AA2 is made for coop.

Yesterday's MP was wonderful, I really enjoyed playing the game with the others. Here's hoping that word of mouth gets an even larger number for next Tuesday.

What I miss, is a capture the flag, like the cia one we played a lot in older ofp days. That was lot of fun.

I use InstantViewDistance, a clientside addon which allows you to turn off grass in Coop type games (set Terrain Detail to low).

I´d suggest to set the server details to low anyways. Some other tweaks should be made with the "Magic map", right?

Yeah, as comfortable as it is while getting to know the game, we have to get rid of all the cadet stuff if we want to play as seriously as we do in OFP. So no more 3rd person view, crosshair, enemies showing on the map and handy green rhombuses indicating team mates.

Agree on that Post, better face the truth sooner than later Smile
