Aiming points: Here is the LAW, Carl Gustav, M136, RPG-7Victor, RPG-22/26/27, Javelin, RPG-7, Dragon, RPO-A, might be handy:
By Osku and Marto.
WGL Javelin launcher:
Javelin has three fire modes:
A. Top-down hit
B. Direct hit
C. Guided unlocked
A. Top-down fire-mode
1. Select "Weapon Javelin (Top down)" from the action-menu
2. Switch to sights view. Zoom in, and right-click ONCE to lock your target. (you won't see any marker)
3. Elevate your weapon by exiting sights view, and placing your target inside the reticule (as shown in the screenshot below) This is important, because if you don't do this, the missile will hit ground and have nasty effect on you and your teammates...
4. Launch.
The missile will first go towards the sky, and then come back down and hit the designated target at its top.
If it flies towards the outer space, you didn't lock it correctly.
---
B. Direct Hit fire-mode
1. Select "Weapon Javelin (Direct hit)" from the action-menu
2. Lock the target exactly same way than in "Top down"-mode.
(no second sighting/elevating weapon required here)
3. Launch.
In direct-hit mode, the missile will fly directly to target.
C. Guided unlocked fire-mode
Sometimes you may not be able to get a lock, or some vehicles (eg later model T-80s and T-90) have countermeasures, which enable you to lock but the missile will not hit the vehicle.
In these cases you can use Guided unlocked fire mode. Point of aim is the bottom of the top crosshair. Ensure the missile is in direct hit mode not top down and DO NOT lock the missile. Fire the missile and guide it onto the target. The missile will fly to wherever you shift the point of aim (within parameters) similar to the Dragon system below.
*Note Dragon is wire guided; you guide the missile onto the target, shift your point of aim and the missile will fly there (within parameters).
For those of you who don't know: starting from today Germany is on summer time which means clocks have been shifted one hour forward.
I cannot remember how we handled this in the past but since the Coop meeting times on the Homepage are announced as 20:00 CET I suggest everyone who lives in a country which does not use the stupid summer time/daylight saving time rechecks his or her time in relation to the local time in Germany in order not to miss the start of the Coop nights.
The stats say 381 members but howe many is really active on the forum.
Is it possibel to place all active members(those ho have login durring the last year maybe) in a seperat folder so you see hove many active members it is?.
Was good using them in a coop the other night. They were very useful.
Is there a guide written somewhere how to use them properly? ie I remember Leo saying something about alt shift left clicking to get the range on the map?
This is a serious problem fore all that like the CIA coop, and this is a problem we need to solve or at least try to.
Right now to few prefer to play as Squad Leader, and some times one is forced to play it.
And I understand that no one wants to play as squad leader. You are many times met bay a crowd of egger players that just wants to run around killing every last enemy on the map.
And as a squad leader you try to solve the mission, believing that players join the server to play coop and understand the server rules.
I would prefer if we all could try to make the task of being squad leaders easier.
Tell players that bombard the SL âgo go gosâ to shut up and let the SL do his thing.
Be ready to volunteer to do recon or to guard a flank, or those other things the SL cant do himself (or should not).
And if you find a god squad leader make sure you make him know it. All like when you give them positive remarks when they have done something god.
And to all wanabe SL out there donât be afraid doing a mistake, it takes time to become the best. You will fail many times, but donât give up keep trying you will learn.
Please take care of those that try there luck as Squad leader, we all will benefit from it in the end.
Hi thanks for the games over the last week. This is all new to me but i am enjoying every minute. Special thanks to Marto for setting the programs up for me and getting me into CIA great server. ;D
