This little addon disables the popup default action when you get close to, well, anything in Arma. You should also disable the key binding for "Use default Action" in the Common keys, since the addon only hides the menu.

Anyway, I do not claim authorship of this. I just peeked at the TrueUser GUI mod from Arma 2 to see how it is done.
