Quote:Reminder: If you don't already know how to configure and use TeamSpeak 3's Channel Commander feature, please re/re-read the Getting started with TeamSpeak 3 (for ArmA2) thread before the event, even if you do not plan on taking a leadership role. Thank you.

Comrades of CiA, your comrades at Folk/ARPS invite you to join them and LDDK in the struggle for collectivisation of farms and the creation of a socialist agrarian utopia.

I'm new to CiA, what are the joint sessions like?
Here are some AAR threads from the more recent joint sessions: When is it?
19:00 UK (20:00 CET) on Sunday 08 January 2012.

Yes, but I don't live in Britain nor in Central Europe, when does it start for me?
Click here to find the session's start time in your local time zone, and how much time is left until the session starts.

Which OA server will we use?
The Folk ArmA2: Combined Operations server:
  • Address: server.herosquad.org
  • Port: 2402
  • Password: freedom
Which TeamSpeak 3 server will we use?
Folk/ARPS/CiA guests, please use the Folk TS3 server:
  • Address: server.herosquad.org:9988 (note: the domain and port go together)
  • Password: freedom
Note: LDDK guests will use the LDDK Mumble server. Co-ordination will be via VON in the COY CO element.

Are any addons allowed, or just vanilla ArmA 2: Combined Operations?
Just vanilla ArmA 2: Combined Operations. You may run client-side addons (STHUD etc.) but not those that might give you a competitive advantage against humans (e.g. mods that allow you to control your view distance). Please, please do NOT connect with such mods. Connecting with ACE2 or ACRE loaded may cause the server to crash - please do not be the one to delay 50+ other players.

What kind of missions will we be playing?
We plan to play a modified version of Housemaster's Zargabaddies mission (which we have never completed), expanded for 70 players.

Okay, sounds good. What do you need me to do?
Just come along and enjoy the evening, comrade! If you know you're coming along, posting in this thread would be great - it's not obligatory, but it will help us plan things and is greatly appreciated by the hosts.

Are we expected to survive?
Why do people always ask this question?

Smile
Thanks for the invitation fer. CiAs - members and regulars - please confirm attendance.
Currently my schedule is free. There is a chance I will be abroad again, I will update if something will come up.
I should be free at that time, as far as I know.
I'm up for another joint coop Smile I'm sure few more ronins will join.

+ Kenwort
+ BlinDog
+ savage007
I'll definitely going to be there!
I'm soooo attending!
Still far away, but If i'm not moving (new house) then I'll be there!
Since this is a time where BIS is working hard on "Christmas Gift", which version will be required? Currently 1.59 is the less flawless once, and some people go away for long postponed holiday. Would be nice to know if you still gonna run 1.59 or switch to 1.60 (if released) in time?

The Folk server is tied to the current official patch as available on Steam. So if 1.60 official is released on Steam, that's what we'll use. Otherwise, it'll be 1.59 as normal (Folk does not use betas). Hope that helps!

Smile
Yeah, very much. Steam is always sooo late Smile Even if BIS release 1.60 this year, Steam ain't able to update it before 8/1-12 Wink
I'm in!
It's on my calendar.  In pen not pencil.  How exciting!
I should have spare time on that night.
OP updated with session details Smile
What is the patch status of the game server? (Sorry, if it is already in the first post. I did not find this information).
