Anyone interested in playing Flashpoint with the VTE MOD.  Vietnam like it should be. I spend hundreds of hours designing mission and am setting up a dedicated server for VTE missions. Here's a snippet of what i'm up to:

Custom sounds and great gameplay. Rescue missions and patrols in the Meekong Delta. Some missions actually follow the action described in real audio tapes of actual helicopter ops in Vietnam. What you hear the pilots warning about actually happens.

You should pay a visit to HawkNam if you want to play OfpNam. They use the Jungle Fever mod which is superior to VTE in my opinion (maybe Jungle Fever even emerged out of VTE but I'm not sure).

It is very unlikely we will start playing Nam era at CiA.

Thanks for shooting down the idea and suggesting a better mod you dont want to play either.

I hope that others who read it will take a second to see the video ive posted above and see what they are missing.


Hawknam is great too. I enjoy VTE for the maps and rivers and Airmobile missions although the jungle walk throughs in Hawknam are great.

Either way, whenever i play the cia server its running a mission with very poor stock graphics.

For those of us who have a fairly decent machine, the far superior VTE graphics and missions that take on the VC are fantastic. Thier black smocks and sampan hats make them great targets and the missions i have are over 100 hours each in design time.

The Vietnam era music in the missions, combined with actual radio traffic from vietnam and missions that portray the situation described in the radio traffic, give a great experience.

VTE Mod rocks. The helos, the maps, the men... And on a half decent puter it flies.
